I am an assistant professor in the Department of Geography and Earth
Sciences. I teach a variety of courses including Tropical
Meteorology, Mesoscale Meteorology, Atmospheric Thermodynamics, and
Advanced Synoptic Meteorology. I am also a faculty advisor for
the Student Organization of Meteorology (STORM), which is a student
chapter of the American Meteorology Society (AMS). My
research interests encompass all aspects of tropical cyclones and
organized mesoscale weather systems. My current research focuses
on the use of observations to better understand the structure and
evolution of tropical cyclones including eyewall convection and
miniature supercells in outer rainbands. Feel free to email or call anytime to discuss potential student research opportunities. For more information about me or my classes, please use the tabs above. To learn more about about the undergraduate or graduate programs in meteorology, please click on the department link below. |
