PROFILE:
My substantive research and teaching interests generally lie in
transportation planning and policy, especially as it relates to
environmentally sustainable transportation systems and development
patterns. I have a particular interest in analyzing the relationship
between transportation and land use. Therefore, I have also developed
a secondary research interest in urban economics and land development.
My research agenda has recently focused on two interrelated topics:
(1) the effect of transportation systems (of varying modes and sizes)
on land/economic development, (2) the effect urban form has on travel
behavior.
Through my academic training and professional experience, I have
gained proficiency in a variety of quantitative research methods.
I have worked full time as a GIS analyst and travel demand modeler,
taught GIS and travel modeling courses, and applied various statistical
methods in academic research.
