TEACHING AND RESEARCH INTERESTS:
• ESCI 1101
• Synoptic Meteorology
• Applied Forecasting
DEGREES:
M.S. (2004) Meteorology, The Pennsylvania State University
B.S. (2002) Meteorology, The Pennsylvania State University
PROFILE:
I have a wide range of interest in Earth Science, with my background
primarily focused on meteorology. My research focus in the past
has been on air quality and I’ve conducted field studies in
NYC, Whiteface Mountain NY, and Mexico City. These projects focused
on oxidation processes in the atmosphere, primarily measuring HOx
radicals. My main interest within meteorology is synoptic systems
and processes as well as forecasting, both long and short term.
Recently, I’ve been devoting all of my time to teaching and
expanding my capabilities within Earth Science. I’ve been
teaching physical geography for 2 years and have taken great interest
in this part of the field. In addition to this, I teach a synoptic
meteorology course within our fast growing meteorology program.
Currently, I am developing an applied forecasting course for future
semesters, where the students will partake in a variety of short-range
and long-range forecasts for both point and regional prediction
zones.
